We felt it would be a good match to conncet the National Corvette Challenge with the Corvette Forum Cruise In as most of the partcipants are on the Corvette Forum. If you have not made a trip to the National Corvette Museum during the Corvette Forum Cruise In, you are in for a treat. Four days of Corvette activties including a Drag Racing Seminar/Panel on Friday, (click for Corvette Forum Cruise In Agenda). Several changes from the earlier date are being made. First, all racers must pre register and pre pay. We will have Beech Bend Raceway Park to ourselves and in order to do that, we must have a minimum of 55 racers to make this event happen. To register for the National Corvette Challenge, you must register for the Corvette Forum Curise In ($15 for museum members) and pre pay for the the racing event (and any other events you wish to particpate in at the "Cruise In" (see link below to register). Payouts will have to be adjusted as the cost for the track will increase. As of now, we cannot post a payout but will be able to when we have more registered participants.
John Mackey will be taking taking the lead coordinator role for this event as we are piggy-backing on an event he has begun the leg work for. Mr Mojo, Frank Schear, will assist as well. In addition, Joe Gabella, Tracy Lewis and Edgar Perez will continue to support the National Corvette Challenge. If you have questions, feel free to contact John Mackey via email Plans For a Make-up Have Begun03/03/06 - Please check back in a few days. We have begun talks on when and where a make-up will happen. We hope to have news to you within a week. The National Race Weekend is Postponed Due to Rain02-25-06 - 2:14 PM - We are sorry to say, the 2006 RevXtreme National Corvette Challenge has been postponed due to rain. The rain started and 9 AM today and the forecast is for the rain to continue until Sunday morning. With expectation of rain to accumulate over 2 inches, and the tracks jet dryer not available to us, it was expected that if we were able to race Sunday, we would not be able to race until well into the afternoon, if at all. Therefore, our organizers and track officials collectively decided to postpone the remainder of the weekend. Please check back here as we will attempt to reschedule the race later this year.Carolina Dragway will refund your $50 entry fee for today. If you paid yesterday and left today before the announcement, please contact Angel Miles at Carolina Dragway at 877-471-RACE on Monday for a refund. We thank all who made it out this weekend.
Please see updated information above as the original date was rained outIt is with great pleasure that the coordinators of the Corvette Challenges around the nation bring to you, our 2nd ever National Corvette Challenge. In 2004, we gathered at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, SC for the first ever of such an event, (read about the 2004 race). After skipping a year, and by popular demand, we are back. Carolina Dragway will once again host the National Corvette Challenge. RevXtreme, Tracy Lewis, from Florida, will be taking out the title sponsorship and we encourage additional sponsors to support our National Challenge. Additional sponsorships can be rolled into the payout and can be purchased for as little as $100. We are also happy to say that this event will be supported by The National Corvette Museum, Bowling Green, KY, and we will donate part of our proceeds to them in return of their support.Event Updates
Revised Event DetailsThe rescheduled event will be a single day event at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green Kentucky.

In addition, each one of your time trials before eliminations on Saturday only, will be counted as heads-up Quick 16 class qualifiers. We will take the 16 quickest Corvettes and run them in a pro style ladder on a .400 pro tree to determine the quickest Corvette in the Nation.

A minimum of 55 racers is needed to make this event happen. Payouts are supported by sponsorships which are available for as little as $100. The winner and runner-up for each class, Bracket and Quick 16, will receive a trophy courtesy of Jamison Corvette. In addition, there will be a cash payout that is contingent on car count and sponsorship obtained for the race. As the date rolls near, we will update expected payout.
